Last of the babies.

Well my 15 year old doe had her twins. I came home the other day, took my time getting home and getting to the barn because I have been running out for so long and never anything. Well not this time. She had a Doe (Diva)and a Buck (Retro) with no trouble at all. I missed the delivery by maybe 5 minutes. The doe still had part of the sac on her but mom was cleaning her off and she (Diva)was walking around. I would have to say Retro was born first because he was pretty clean and up walking all over. Mom graced me with two beautiful what we call (Cashmere) Silver babies.
Here are a few pictures.

I was going to retire her this year, but she kept getting wit hthe buck. EEverytime I would give here a shot of Lutalyce and do you wantto talk about a goat in a DEEP derpression. I really thought I was going to lose her. I took her to the vet. (He is a great goat vet we are so lucky) He said she is SO depressed that I would more then likely lose her if I didn't breed her. I was taking a chance. OK 15 year old having More kids and take a chance of that killing her or the fact she was so depressed. The vet said Breed her, she was making him depressed. Once I bred her she came back to herself right away. We knew she was bred because of the way she acted, and back to the great goat that she is. She is a wonderful mother. She still wins the shows that she is shown in. She was Best animal in show last year at the Estes Park Wool Show in Colorado.

Adorable kids! I'd like to see a pic of their mom! Holy cow, 15 yrs. and still having gorgeous kids! That's some goat that refuses to retire herself. Funny.

CONGRATS! ON both the BEAUTIFUL babies, and the special mama. Are you keeping either of the babies? Bye the way, your doe is a year older than me, weird. Good Luck with them. Bye.
