2 week old kids now what?

When do you start Coccidiosis prevention? and worming and what do you use (how do you do it)?

At 2 weeks old I really would not give them anything. This is what I do, At 1 month old I give them a CD&T shot(2cc) and 4 weeks later a booster of the same(2cc). As far as wormer they should not be wormy at all at this age. I would not treat them for anything unless you see signs that they need it. It would be a good idea to worm the mothers after they kid(if you have the mothers).

If your babies are starting to eat grain, I would feed them a goat developer pellet with a coccidiostat if there are any available in your area. I do not worm babies this young.

You should start cocci prevention before they are 3 weeks old. I used corid this year but did not like it too much. There is also something (I can not remember the name)that you add to the bottle every day. Or you can use albon if your vet will sell it to you. I also do the cd/t shots. Good luck with your babies.
