When will this doe kid?

Okay, I don't really know how to calculate this...I bought a Nigerian Dwarf doe who had been bred the week I got her...I think it was the second week of October...the lady told me she would kid in March...is this true?
How do I prepare for this? She is about 3 or 4 years old and has kidded before. My Alpine/ND cross is her daughter and was born on Labor Day this past September. She was one of triplets.
Please advise!

Goats kid approximately 150 days after they are bred. You take the date your goat was bred in October, subtract one and this will tell you her due date in March. Example: if she were bred Oct. 11, her due date would be March 10. Of course, goats don't always kid right on time so it could be a few days on either side of this date. Sounds like your doe was bred pretty soon after she last kidded. I have some does due in March too.

Just wanted to point out that they do not always go the full 150 days, I would start looking a week early and keep looking for a week afterwards. Good Luck, bye.

Question

This doe you have is a ND and her daughter is an Alpine/ND cross? So someone bred a ND doe to an Alpine buck? And the doe survived???

Apparently so! I've asked people about this and the ones I asked seemed to think it was no big deal...she had triplets last time, the one that produced the Alpine cross. The baby really looks and acts very Alpine, except for being much smaller than average. She's quite fiesty!
It's kind of funny, because I always have to do a lot of explaining. The ND doeling I bought with the big doe and her daughter looks like SHE should be the ND doe's daughter. BUT, the doe is bred to this ND doeling's father. So I always have to try to explain the complicated relationship the three of them have...
