Crusty stuff on doelings eyes????

One of our fullblood boer doelings has crusty gunk on her eyes, is this normal? It kinda looks like the stuff that you get on your eyes when you wake up. What should I do, it does not look like it is causing any problems, it just looks yucky and gross. Should I just wash it off with a wash cloth, would that help? Wash it off with a moist, soft cloth. If this does not end the problem, apply Terramycin eye ointment twice a day. You can find it either at your feed store or order it from Hoegger's.

One thing that works extremely well for that eye crud is plain ole Listerine. Use the regular one not the flavored. It will clean around the eye and also kill any bacteria. Put the Listerine on a paper towel and wipe just like you would with a damp cloth. Works great!
