Well I bought another dang goat!!!

Oh well I primarily raise pygmy goats and I just love them.Well unfortuntley at our local 4-h fair they do not allow us to show pygmies(I am still working on them)So last Feb,we worked a deal out with some local dairy breeders and my daughters got 3 dairy goats from them. One is a nubian the other one is a la mancha and the last one is a toggenberg. Now my herd has been closed until these dairy goats came along and then I thought I would be done buying goats. As I was just going to cross breed my dairy girls to my pygmy bucks.

Well in the paper today there was an ad for a registered nubian buck for 60 bucks.I thought hmmmmm I better go look at him,as it would be nice to breed our dairy girls to a dairy buck,it makes sense right? So I go there and he is just beautiful except his horns(he was dehorned and they grew back and the horns kinda go straight back). He is a tri colored(black mostly with tan points and 2 white spots. He is a coming 2 year old and has produced 1 set of twins offspring(1 buck & 1 doe).He comes from a small breeder. She just breeds for herself so he has only been used this one time for breeding. The breeder gave me pics of his kids and oh my they are just beautiful and perfect conformation.

Now I am not to familiar with dairy goats or nubian goats bloodlines,so if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.Here is who he has on his registration papers..

His sire is the stp2's prince gunnar
sires sire just *the*ends our prince
sires dam the swanson's oh oh sheela

his dam is the hs psycho bth's memory
dams sire is o'dools f.b. augustus
dams dam the hs psycho bth

Now on his extended pedigree there is a doe that has a bunch of numbers and letters under her name. What do you think these would mean?

Thanks for any and all help.

Hi, I know nothing of nubians, but shame on you! Oh, but buying is so fun, isn't it!? Good luck with the new breeding project!

Congratulations! I just love Nubian's!
You can go to the ADGA site and that might help you out a bit on what the letters and numbers mean.. I think the ones your referring to are their milking and testing scores.
Congratulations again!
