WORKING GOATS - some interesting photos =0)

I was looking for information on Kinder goats and stumbled on a website that I thought would be good to share here. It's not in English, but the pictures speak for themselves! WORKING GOATS

Thanks for posting that link! I've always wanted a little cart like those to try out, so neat!

Do they have bits in their mouth? Sure looks like it. I always thought they were just driven, sorta like oxen. I wonder where you get goat size stuff? Anyone know?

That sure is funny! My brother rides our goats bareback, I think that I might try to make him a blanket saddle though. Thanks for sharing, I think that I might try that now, but only for the BIG goats. See ya.

Those are neat pictures! The last two look like they might be at a Renaissance Faire - hmmm, I've already had one of my goats at our local Renn Faire . . .

I can't believe the horns on some of those goats!!

quality llama supply (.com) has a bridle and bit made for goats, at a good price. You can make your own harness, and quality Llama supply has a diagram showing all the parts of the harness. It also shows how to attach them to the cart. You can search cart plans and get plans right off internet, and strapworks (.com) sells all different size of nylon and the different metal peices for making collars, leashes, exc.

Goat Freak,

I really do not think that riding on your Goats is a good idea. Goats can not handle weight on their backs and you could really hurt them.

Wonderful pictures. I have always thought that it would be fun to train my Goats to pull a cart.

I thought it would be a neat idea for a street fair - have a couple of goats trained to pull a small light wagon with 1-2 small children inside.

Here's what Hoegger's has (and yes, they're expensive lol):

Carts & Wagons , Harness

There are more, but here are a few pictures of what they have...
