Itchy ears??

My little buck (just bought him the other day) seems to have itchy ears........he scratches at them and then shakes his head a lot. Now I have had dogs get ear mites (horrible horrible things!! ) Can he have some form of ear mites?? How do I treat them?? Any help would be much appreciated! He really doesn't like whatever it is so I know he will be greatful too!

Yes, goats do get ear mites. Vet RX works you can get it at : www.jefferslivestock.com. If you have more than one goat, i would give it to them all so it does not keep on coming up.

For rabbit ear mites, we just used mineral oil. I think that would work too

Oil..

Like Bachelor said..oil. I was thinking olive oil or tea tree oil..but mineral oil would be great too I think.

Use the tea tree oil sparingly though (or I would) it would really mess up his eyes if you got it in there. Just use a q-tip and dab it in there maybe. But then of course...I AM a worry wort...LOL!!
