Rejoice with me!

I have an opportunity to buy 8 baby doelings (1 -2 weeks old) from a (somewhat) local goat dairy! They are from excellent milking stock, and they are asking $35.00 apiece---they come disbudded and with their first vax! He told me that if I take them all, he will give me a "hell of a deal!" These folks have an excellent reputation in our area, and a "Dairy of Distinction" award. They assured me that the babies are very healthy, well-started and "frisky!" (Oh-oh!)
But wait! There's more!
In December, they have 80 does due to kid!!!!
Good thing my dh got that new shed up. We are being sped on our way to our dream coming true!
Just had to share!

Don't you love it when a great deal just falls in your lap?! Congratulations!

We are planning to open a real goat dairy! The Vermont Butter & Cheese works is our market. Also, I eventually want to make my own cheese, soap, and fudge! For sale...

And yes, I LOVE IT WHEN SUCH A GREAT DEAL FALLS IN MY LAP!!! I sing, do a silly dance, shout "Hallelujah" and "Praise the Lord!" My kids are used to it, and the goats just join right in!

Well, congrats!!!
Hope you love your babies and they do well for you. How many do you plan to get in December?
