I know people like pygmies for meat. Just wondering if there is a market for nigerians.

Nigerians are people too. How cruel. Wanting to sell your fellow man as food. Oops!!! Thought I was on general chat. Just kidding. I know people who eat them. I think about any goat is good for food.

You can, but I always got way more money for mine as pet wethers - $75 to $100 each. Nobody will pay anywhere near that for a 20-lb meat goat (at about 8 weeks).

The dairy goat farm sells their newborn bucks to a man who raises goats for meat. All breeds. They get $10.00 apiece but they don't have to raise them, he does. They told me he's very picky where he gets them, and he is good to them until they are slaughtered. So that is probably what I will do with my baby bucks, if I can conceal the truth from my 9yo dd, that is!
