Smile Baby Bottles

I was wondering what other goat raisers use for kid bottles?
My family uses glass soda bottles with a screw top or and old narrow necked glass syrup container, for nipples we use a range of small to large depending on the bottle.
What do you other homesteaders use?

Oliver

We use human baby bottles from the dollar store when we have bottle babies. We used to put a hole for air but they have these bottles with screw on bottoms that can be loosened to control the flow.

I start them on human baby bottles, and switch to a caprine nipple after the first week or two. The nipples we buy fit a regular size canning jar. I get them at TSC.

I, too used human baby bottles. I found that I had to cut a bigger hole at the end of the nipple otherwise the goats would go nuts not getting enough milk fast enough. I had one that would thrust his head forward sharply and jam his nose in his excitement for that milk. Bottle babies are greta, but man, are they NEEDY and attention leeches! Gotta love em!

Nipples

I use the black rubber lamb nipples (59 cents each) that pull onto pop bottles. Some day I am going to take a picture of my clan feeding the babies with Pepsi, Mt. Dew, etc. bottles and drinking their own also and send it to the Pepsi company.
