Mostly black Alpine kidded this morning with BIG twins, buck kid is solid white, doe kid looks like a holstein cow-not seeing any boer sign yet!

I have had Boer/dairy cross kids that totally surprised me with their colors. Here is an example. I bred Cocoa(Lamancha/Alpine):
To FB Boer buck, Junior:
And here are the triplets they produced together. Two does and a buck!:
Congrats on the babies!! I'd say your seeing lots of Boer with all that white from a mostly black doe........

I can hardly wait to see what I get this year (let me tell ya I was not prepared at ALL for having a black kid out of that pair )

Hi Goat Freak, your very welcome.
The mostly black kid with the funky ears was a buckling. He went in the freezer at about 3 months, but I kept both doelings as replacements. They grew out great and have never had a health problem. Thats the kind I like! Here they are a couple months ago. They are now due to kid in March.

That's all right, they sure are pretty, kinda weird to look at their baby pictures and then see what they look like all grown up.
By the way, MotherClucker, they are ADORABLE! I am sorry that you lost Sydney, she looks like she was a sweetheart, and PRETTY too!

yes she was a sweetheart. Both were sweethearts. Romie her brother was depressed when she died. Sydney was my baby doll. She was the sweetest gentlest little gal.
Her momma was bred to a chocolate and white buck this year. Should prove to be interesting. Plus I bred my white doe to my black buck. Both are solid colored. So that should prove to be VERY interesting.
