looky looky what the filly fairy brought me

born a couple nights ago..right before my mare check and sleeping under the stars. She is exactly what I had ordered. snd soo very cute and small.

she is a miniature:>). She will probably mature around 32 inches. I have a question though. She is bright and frisky. Cord is dry and has been soaked with betadine. She is nusrsing good..was born on thursday so just turned 4 days old Noticed she has yellow squirting diareah. What do I do?

She probably has the runs from the mares foal heat. You can give a probiotic, they sell it in most feed stores or Tractor a Supply. For a wee bot that size, I would dose no more than about 7-10 grams. A normal size foal is 15 grams. You will give it immediately, then again for three days. Should be dried up by then.

Darling baby!

I usually give a probiotic on days 1 and 4, then as needed. That will help stop the runs pretty well.
