Opportunity of a lifetime - my new job!
A few months ago I had a life-changing opportunity present itself - so I jumped on it and started a new job at a large Trakehner breeding farm. www.kdjumpers.com
I'm working as the Farm/Breeding manager and when breeding season isn't quite as busy, I'm also assistant to the head trainer here.
Since I've been here, I've been riding some extremely talented Jumping horses, have been taking lessons with Grand Prix riders (both Show Jumping and Dressage), and taking care of general farm management and stallion/breeding management which includes vaccinations and deworming for almost 60 horses, talking to mare owners regarding our stallions, and working with our vet for semen collection and shipping.
I've been riding 3-6 horses almost every day, plus working my own horses, and still doing a bit of shoeing on the side. It's been a little crazy, but I'm loving it!
