Is there anything more sweet....

My little mare's pregnancy was a suprise, and took some getting used to and gave me some sleepless nights, but this morning as I watch her dig into her hay happily I realized there are few things as cute as a sweet little mare who looks like she has swallowed a beer barrel waddling about the pasture. Lord knows what she will have, but it is it half as sweet and good natured as she it will a cutie.

Wait until she's big as a barn and stands looking at you like you were the one that caused this!

A friend of mine who was an OB nurse used to have two mares that used to get huge ... she took a picture of the two of them together looking totally disgusted, had it blown up poster sized and they posted it in the waiting room with "and you think YOU are big" ...

Love it! I am going to have to take a pic and put that at the bottom and send it my friends daughter who just found out she is expecting her first...she just pegs my cute meter with the big swaying belly, loose walk, and joy in eating - she is just glowing...can't imagine her getting bigger but guess she will

thanks Granny, she is a doll, when I agreed to take her site unseen as a sixteen year old bomb proof small horse, I was expecting something different, she has been a gem..course the pregnancy was a bit of a suprise, but am warming to the idea...
she is so short my legs hand to her knees, but who cares? she is so sweet to my year old heifer calf too

She's still looking way too perky for it to be anytime soon. When she starts standing around with her ears cocked back and the skin around her nostrils wrinkled up it's time to get excited.LOL
In my book a good disposition will win out over fancy every time.

bag is up, and down, and up again she gets wider, and looks more grumpy, saw her try to stomp a poor free range chicken the other day which is very out of charector for her, and lost her temper with my little mini gelding who for a change was not doing anyting to her and try to kick his head off, so maybe we are getting closer
