I think justice for him would be to take his winnings and put them in a trust to support equine rescue and rehabilitation - starting with his horses.

And to make him write every check that goes out and do all the physical work as well. Supervised by various torqued off horse owners, of course.

While it doesn't excuse his behvior, I wonder how much of his winnings he still has. I know two people who made good sized lottery wins and two years later, they were both had to go back to working for a living because they had lost it all through bad investments, fancy cars, lavish trips and helping out too many relatives.

Still no reason to starve your horses. Sell them, give them away, try to find a rescue, and if nothing else works, euth them.

I didn't say it was a reason to starve a horse, I was simply stating that they may not be as wealthy as the article suggests.
