Live foal guarantee. Artificial insemination only. So yes they're advertising him at stud. He is an eye catcher for sure.

They need to spell out the acronym, and put the listing under Farm & Garden Services, not For Sale/Wanted. They may get tired of calls from people wanting to buy him for that price.

Thanks for posting the listing instead of just the link, in case it disappears quickly.

Yeah, I didn't figure it was for him, it is way too cheap. But yeah for people like me, I didn't know what that acronym meant and it really doesn't say stud fee, I bet they get inundated with calls lol

Is that a high price for a stud fee?

Actually, no, not high. In fact, toward the low end for the breed/type. I think *average* stud fee for most of the warmblood or sporthorse and 'exotic' (Friesian, Andalusian, etc.) tends to be in the $1500 range.

Stud fees have tended to be lower the last few years because of the market, but $750 is still low end for the sporthorse market.

I think it's high for a horse who hasn't done anything (in the horse world), and isn't a purebred anything. The ad says he's a Friesian Sporthorse, but it doesn't even give any information regarding exactly how much Friesian he has in him (could be like 25%, who knows?).

Normal stud fees for warmbloods are in the $1000-$2000 range, but if you shop around (many breeders offer steep discounts if you book early) and/or bid on a stallion in a stallion service auction, you can get stud fees for as little as $300-$500 - and that's for world-class approved and proven stallions, not just a crossbreed somethingorother.

I agree, I think its a bit high, unless of course he has proved himself and its just not listed.
I was also wondering what breed he is mixed with maybe paint...
He is beautiful though

I only ask 350 for stud fee with my Registered Sec A purebred Welsh with Excellent bloodlines. Although I am very particular about who he covers and I have an extensive contract to protect his health and well being
