Day 5 of riding the big boy...

She and he are doing pretty good together. A new bridle will be coming soon so that I can put him into a snaffle for some further work. She's got flappy chicken arm syndrome, but that will work itself in time. We are paiting all the ground poles white this week with various colored stripes, lol. Should be fun. Then I've got to get the saw out and make the cavalletti holders.

Where the heck do I get fence rails for jumping? And how long are they normally? She and I are going to start making some standards, but I can't seem to find the rails...

Video is below if you click on the pic...or here. Oh, turn the sound off...it's just me yapping to my friend and occasionally saying things to my daughter that I had already said to her before lol. This one was recorded because I wanted her to be able to look later at what she was doing because she likes to say 'I'm not' or 'What do you mean'? .

We always just used painted pressure treated posts for the poles. 10 ft long works well.
