The apps
Okay...
i'm whipped, but we got a lot done today.
There were 35 horses in all (apparently some 15-20 died this past year, massive amounts of 'yotes around and two 'graveyards' were found, so I suspect they're holed up very close to those and are taking the foals and maybe the mares when they foal out). One was euthanized and four more will need to be as well. All mares are bred, some VERY heavily, full bags and some were dripping.
Three varnish roans, some long yearlings/young two year olds, three babies (one is a typical baby, one is nice looking and one is NICE looking), one leopard, one or two grays and a WHOLE lotta white.
All friendly and curious, despite having gone six years without human attention. A few real pocket pets. Approximately 14 stallions in the group.
I'll update as soon as I get the pics in and can catalog. It's was pretty difficult as the crew had to find a distinguishing characteristic that was still going to be there next week (no mud spots would do, lol) for identifying the horses.
Fences fixed so no one can get out on the road (or into the subdivision) and get injured.
Good day, long day- but a productive one.
