I don't offhand but will try to remember to ask my husband as he is a farrier. I know he has a mule that he trims that they ride on trails but I think its in NY. Don't really see too many mules in our area.

Thank you. I've done ground work and I really don't think she'll be too hard to finish, but I want her done right.

No one around here has ever worked with mules before. They are a little to ride 'em hard til they drop....

Well I asked my husband and he doesn't know of anyone either, sorry. I have a friend who is a very good horse trainer that might be willing to give her a try. We are about 25 miles south of Erie, PA.

go to Mule.org and ask. There are several trainers there and I believe that one is located close to you. You will need to register (it's free) and go to the forums and ask. They are wonderful folks and helped me tremendously when I first got my mule!

I have found that most horse trainers are NOT suitable for mule training as they are used to how horse's think, not how mule's think. A mule trainer can make you a lifelong friend and companion as mules live for a very, very long time. My mule is 28 and looks 15 and has NEVER been sick a day since I've had her. Very good hooves and good constitution. I bought her from a mule raiser and trainer and I couldn't be happier with her. She NEVER forgets what she was taught and rides, drives, and logs. Takes care of the most timid rider and is the lowest maintenance animal I have ever owned.

Try http://mules.org/ and register and then ask for assistance, you won't be sorry you did.
