Surely there must be someone in or around the Topeka area that has a gentle family milk cow they would like to sell. We would like to hear from you! If you don't have one but know of someone who does, let us know. What a neat forum. I'm sure glad I stumbled on it last night.

Hi Vintage Mom

I have a 7 year old registered Dexter cow I would sell. She is a long leg non carrier type, is gentle, can be approached in the field, usually comes when called, and is already broke to milk. She has a decent but not huge udder. Because of carpal tunnel and arthritis my hands are so bad I can't milk long enough to determine how she gives, but there was enough to raise two big calves. We are in the Columbia, Missouri area. Delivery is possible if you don't have access to a trailer. My email addy is bhfarm@socket.net.
