SOLD - FS Jersey Cow

We have decided to upgrade our Jerseys in anticipation of having a closed herd someday. We are offering for sale a 2 year old first freshener Jersey that has been bred back to a Jersey. $1,200.00

“Clara Belle” came to us just last Friday from a small Mennonite dairy. She was previously machine milked and we are getting her accustomed to hand milking. She is a quick learner, already waiting by the door at milking time and heads right in to the correct stanchion. “Clara Belle” is friendly and curious and will be a delight as a family cow.

She’s an easy milker & lets down quickly. Her rear teats are small (the reason we are selling her) but she has already learned to place her foot back far enough for us to easily reach her hindquarters for milking.

She was AI’d to a Jersey bull in mid February and is currently with a Jersey bull. She has showed no sign of coming into heat.

We are located in NW IL

The pictures were taken at the Mennonit farm before we brought her home.

That is one handsome dark Jersey (I like a dark Jersey best).

Could get you the service sire info from previous owner, possibly her pedigree also.
