Organic raw cow milk and/or cheese

Hi,

Does any of you have any idea where can one get raw cow milk and/or cheese in Ontario? Thanks.

You can probably buy it from the Mennonites out around the Elmira. Kitchener Waterloo area. just stop at any Mennonite farm and ask, they'll point you in the right direction.
(I'm assuming your talking Ontario Canada, not Ontario California ?)

I used to live in Orangeville, Ont. and used to buy home made bread and honey, jam etc. from the mennonites, it was good stuff, and very reasonable priced.

But are you sure that they can sell raw milk cheese or raw milk?

I know that it is possible to get raw cheese in Quebec, but I don't know in Ontario.

In Indiana, we could not sell raw milk or dairy products.

But if you wanted to bring your own container we could give it to you.

Don't know what the laws would be up there.

Earlier this year there was a recall of raw milk cheese made in Indiana and sold at some farmer's markets. Here is a link:

Indiana now has a state approved 'cow share' for consumers to get raw milk.
