What color would you call this one?

She is a good and repeating mother, been here for a long time, she is pink underside and grey elsewhere.

I think she might be a grulla (pronounced "grew-ya"). Not much on the web about that color in cattle, but I did find this link:

She looks like a brown swiss to me. She is typical swiss coloration, I just called it gray. Nice cow

Here's a picture of one of our cross cows. She's that same color. She's a [Highland x Holstein] x Dutch Belt. Her calf behind her (born yesterday) is 1/2 Randall. We've had a lot of cows this color over the years, having Highland in the mix seems to bring it out.

I've heard this color called chocolate or gray. It is caused by a dilute gene that effects black. I get a few every year when the angus bull genes get diluted by genes carried by the simmi cows.
