Help Needed Jersey & Lowlines

I live in west central Illinois and am looking for some people that have miniature jersey or lowline cattle. My goal would be to get a jersey cow for milking purposes. Any suggestions on finding people in my region or does anyone know of someone in the area that has either of these? Thanks for your help.

Most breed associations publish a directory of breeders within a region and often break it down enough that you should be able to find someone that way. The associations are quite helpful and if they don't publish such a thing, a quick phone call will often give you some good starting information.

If they don't share breeder's information, ask for the association representative in your general area and call them.

Lowlines

The American Lowline Registry has a marketplace where breeders can pay to advertise their livestock for sale so perhaps you can find something there. The link to it is:

I have a registered percentage and two registered purebred heifers for sale. They are out of my Grand Champion bull. I live in SE Colorado. They are a wonderful breed.

There are also some people crossing Jerseys and Lowlines. Makes for a nice dual purpose cow, and if bred to lowline or other beef bull, get good beef. I had such a cow for years and it was great.
