I saw that on the weekly US Farm Report show this morning. He said he stayed in the hot tub with him for something like a hour or so.

I just think it's great that a third generation farmer would do this.
I had one born in a blizzard a few years ago and brought it in the house, after it became clear he would not make it if left outside ,and i had to hear the comment "i would have just let him die" a couple of times😞

I agree, yet I am redneckish enough, I have been known to buy a baby pig at the spur of the moment, and bring it home in the floorboard of my truck.
Pig poo sticks to carpeted floor mats incase anyone was wondering.

I put a baby jersey in a feed sack to bring home. Held the pooh well but not so much the pee....
I chuckled at your title, envisioned a cow leaning back with a little umbrella drink Cool article, nice to know that some people still care for their charges.

Cute story. I hope he didn't have his iPhone in his pocket. They don't like that too much.

I had a bottle calf who developed a terrible respiratory infection and went into a coma for two days, vet gave her no chance but i had him give her some very expensive somewhat experimental shot put her in the back of Hummer with her IV hooked up and drove to a business meeting in Nashville. She woke up half way there and started climbing over the seats

Same scenario, calf born in the middle of the night in a snow storm. The tractor we were driving had a "bush hog" on the back. and luckily we thought about throwing a bundle of burlap bags on the back. (tells you how old I am ) We put the calf on the burlap bags and drove him back to the barn with the cow protesting all the way (I was the designated interference between the two )

We carried it to the basment of the house, where it generally kept everyone awake all night, and returned it to the barn and her mama the next morning.
