WTB Jersey cow SE Kentucky and milker

Anyone have a Jersey cow that is due to calve in the spring for sale. She must be dehorned because the 3 brown swiss I already have are dehorned. I live between Lexington, Ky and Knoxville, Tn I also am wanting to buy a Delaval plastic bucket milker. I already have the pump from my surge milk so only need the complete bucket. Message with what you have Thanks

I think your Brown Swiss could probably handle one little jersey even if she had horns.

Oh yah. Didn't think of that. Seems that every Jersey female I have ever seen was very docile. But the Jersey bulls were mean nasty critters.

A few days ago, someone had a Jersey cow for sale, and a milking machine as well. Seems to me they were over by Stanford. It was on Craigslist, maybe Lexington one.
Looked like a pretty nice cow.

What is the reason for seeking out the plastic?

I am looking for convenience. I am milking with a stainless surge now and have to haul milk to the house morning and evening. 2 trips down and 2 trips back Also clean up appears to be easier. I now have 4 hoses to run the brush through and with the bucket the claw to inflation distance is much shorter plus one long big hose. Any other suggestions appreciated

I bought 3 Guernsey heifers from a dairy in SW Indiana that was going out of business. That was a couple of years ago. When I got there I found barns full of Guernseys AND Jerseys. One brother raised Gs and one brother raised Js. The Guernsey man was keeping a few to do some showing but I don't know about the Jerseys.
Anyway, you could check with them. Here is their public profile. If the phone # doesn't work let me know and I'll PM a cell # to you.
