Calf delivery

In the last few days I have had three calves delivered to my farm. My wifes nephew gets them from a dairy that he works at. I have been too busy the past few days after work to get them so he brings them to me. It is quite the site, as they ride in the back seat of the car. They get colosterum(sp) when they are born and he brings along some whole cows milk to get them started. So far it is working out pretty well. By the way, the car is an old farm beater that doesn't get used for anything else. It's nice they don't have to ride in a drafty old trailer.

I have a nice-n-shiny 2010 ford F-150 platinum edition with the full back seat. I have used the back seat on countless occasions for moving sheep and goats. A calf would not be out of the question.

I rarely ride back there. Recently I had the chance to be a back seat passenger and discovered the door handle grip was completely filled with goat berries....

Enjoy the calves! They grow up in a hurry.
