switchgrass

I had the beef specialist at my place this week and he has recommended switchgrass for some of my pastures as they are wet low lying area's. Has anyone used switchgrass and have any insight as best management practices?
what I have read it goes dormant in the winter would marshall rye be okay to over seed into the grass for winter grazing? I'm having it no till drilled next week with cave in rock at 4 lbs to acre.

Switch grass is a warm season native grass being such in my opinion you don't want any thing that would be competing with it in the spring time when it is beginning to come out of dormancy. It will be at it's peak protein levels and fastest growth in the 60 to 90 days after it begins growing in the spring.
