Belted Galloways for Milking?

I was thinking about the Belted Galloways lately because they are more rare and I have herd that their meat is good. Are they also good milkers? Any comments on them? Do you like them? Thanks!

We have a few for beef. I don't know why you couldn't milk them. I will say that they have super hairy udders and teats, so you have an extra cleanliness battle.

we had one that got run through the parlor for part of a lactation. Not a whole lot of milk for sure.
If you are looking for dual purpose there are many other far superior breeds.
Normande or fleckvieh would be some to look at.

Dexter or if you want something larger a beef/dairy cross might work. I had planned on trying to milk my highlander/jersey cross, but I screwed my back all up right her after calving. I'll be breeding her to my bull, registered 1/2 lowline black angus and 1/2 belted Galloway. My plan is to have decent beef calves but able to milk her for my family and extra can go to the pigs.
