County Fair!!

Hi Everyone

My daughter purchased an Angus Cross Steer for her 4H project.
She worked her little hiney off with that boy, walking, washing, drying, training etc.
She was able to keep his hair and he finished GREAT!
Well she WON
**RESERVE SUPREME CHAMPION**
We are so proud of her!!!

Does Your county have a heifer chain program. If they do It may be worth a try. and if you can go to nearby counties and show. At least here they get paid for every win. My DD heifer chain project is now 8yo and and made her over 4000$ selling calves. Considering she had to give one back and kept one not bad profit. She is in college now and enjoys the extra money. And we can still go out in the pasture and put a halter on her.

VERY nice. Nice steer, nice title. I think this kind of thing is great for teaching kids about working hard and reaping the rewards. Wish I'd had access to a 4-H program when I was young...
