Exclamation Calf having seizures!

I have a two month old calf that was born a twin, she had a rough start and has never done as well as the other calves but usually is at least up and out grazing. This morning when I went to feed her I found her having seizures. Is it pretty much a lost cause at this point? I'm trying to get her into the vet but I think there may be nothing to do.

Take her temp. If she has an extremely high fever that could be a cause and could also be treated. Good luck!

At the very least, speak to the vet on the phone and explain what is going on. I think neurological issues can be difficult to diagnose. Be careful as this might even be a symptom of rabies and exposure can be dangerous to you. I hope not, but I'd get the vet's advice on what to do.

Yesterday she seemed to improve, the seizures had stopped, she was up and drinking her bottle. Followed me to the shed. Today I went out to give her a bottle and she was mostly unresponsive. Having to put her down is the right call but still sucks. I knew better than to buy that calf and in the end it bit me in the butt. Hopefully next time I'll go with my gut.

Good call, but sorry you had to do it. We learn, sometimes slowly.
