He is 26 months old. I have been feeding him 3/4s of a 5 gallon bucket of grain morning and night since February. And a flake of orchard grass morning and night. Plus he is loving the spring grass!

That steer looks wonderful. You are very fortunate to live in a state and area that allows for on site butchers. Have you had fresh liver and onions yet? That along with heart and tongue were always my favorites to have fresh.

Thank you! One of the reasons I started raising our own beef and pork is because we could give them a peaceful demise. He had no idea it was coming. We are lucky to have a compassionate home slaughter company.

Butcher called and his hangin weight for the two halves was 531. Said he looked fantastic.
