Angus bull for sale

5 year old Angus bull for sale in the Southern Il area,
I have been breeding him for a few years now and need to replace him.

Angus bull for sale - Cattle

He has the best temperament of any bull I have ever owned, he is nether so friendly that he runs you over to get attention or so stand offish that you can’t work with him. He is not harness broken but if you have a treat in your hand like an ear of corn you can bribe the big guy into going anywhere you want.
He throws moderate sized calves. The only time I have had to pull any of his was when some yearling heifers got breed young by ascent

He does have an old injury to his hoof that has been treated and is well healed but the hoof is now deformed. This injury dose not affects his ability to move freely, feed, or mate. But do to it I am willing to take market meat prices for him.

You might be better off to sale him as a butcher animal. Bulls that old tend to become less fertile/sterile. A semen test might put some at ease, if that is the route you wish to stay with.

I cannot see enough of the animal to make a determination of whether I would want an offspring from his genetics but he should be sent to the processor regardless. The glimpse indicates too much gut and too little hindquarters, length is lacking also.

As of this last breeding season all but 2 cows he covered became pregnant. to tell the truth i am just seeing i am just seeing if any one needs a cheep bull. He is about as good as it gets for the price, he is what he is that is why i an asking so little for him, if no one wants him he will be a butcher animal

also a bull dose not hit top fertility until 4 years of age so he is only a year past his prime
