has not show heat for two cycles whats up?

My three year (well, she will be three in May) old heifer had a very obvious heat two cycles ago, so began keeping good track of her daily, projected her next heat cycle, and watched her closely for days 17 - 25 with the intent to ai yet again (have tried like four times), even put the ai chic on alert , nothing...this cycle, she is going into day 22 and still nothing...now she has been out with my Walden who turned yearling bull in Feb and he is a keen fellow who takes his job very seriously, but the size difference makes that seem almost impossible! I have had her tested for FM and she is fine, have had her examined by the ai gal and she never mentioned any issues...thoughts on what might be going on? I need to find a good vet I guess....this entire milk cow project has been so frustrating...

Annie is an old world jersey, i guess, she has all the so called traits, striped tongue corkscrew tailll small girl....Walden is a zebu/scottish highlander/lowline angus cross.

But...her nibs suddenly came into a standing heat at the very outside of her projected cycle, from what I could tell poor Walden had the will but not quite the height....she was in a standing heat last night, had her ai this morning, hope it wasn't too late...I work so although I checked that morning and she did not seem to be in heat at all, maybe we are too late..who knows? maybe perfect....

I wish you luck. What breed did you use to AI?
Are you going to get that mixed breed bull castrated?

I used a small Jersey bull with a2/a2 characteristics, and no, Walden is my herd sire, although he wasn't "bred to order" if I could have built a miniature bull from scratch, it would have been Walden. The shaggy cute brindle of the scottish and the temperament, the longer legs and grace of the zebu, and the "cow like" look of the low line...he is just very young and needs to grow a couple more inches He has a perfect temperament, likes but respects people, and is extremely good natured...

Never underestimate an amorous bull no matter how small in stature!

1 good hill + 1 willing cow = babies!

Have her pregnancy checked! LOL

Even small bulls have............. ah, how should I say it, a long reach. It's amazing what some of the little guys can get done, especially with some cooperation from a hot cow.

A few years ago, a farmer thought he could keep a Shetland Pony in with his Belgian mares, without worry. Proved the adage, "where there's a will, there's a way."
