Every other day milking

Just wondering if anyone has ever done once every OTHER day milking. My cows are already milking once a day for 2 years now but they are still giving too much milk and just wondering if I can go to every other day milking without drying them off. Trying not to have to get a calf but if I do I guess I have to feed my girls twice a day. correct?

Just looking for some options and opinions

Why do you have more than one cow if you are getting to much milk. Just dry one cow off and milk the other. Every other day milking would be hard on the udder and there would be a big risk of mastitis.
