Our Highland bull

When I take hay out I like to move the round bale feeder to let them clean up the old bale. I have to put the new bale down first to pick up the ring, and he always jumps in and takes his horns to mess up the bale, so it's a race between us for me to get the ring over the new bale.

As I start putting the ring over he jumps out of the way. Today he jumped the wrong direction and ended up here...

GREAT PHOTOS! He doesn't look any the worse for it though, but just look at the expression on the cows' faces. I know you guys will be really glad when spring arrives.

Too funny! Man that is some snow, bet you are beyond ready for spring.

Our bull once played with the ring and ended up inside of it. He's a long bodied bull so it was a fairly tight fit. DH went out to feed, no hay ring, found it in the shed with the bull WEARING it. DH was able to raise it up where his head was, and the bull walked out from under. Bull turned and looked at DH for a minute like, Thanks bud, then moseyed off. Wish he would have taken a photo, he usually has his phone in his pocket.

He was fine, I was worried for a minute that I was going to have to get a tow strap around his horns and pull him out with the tractor. Just call that a "Northerner's squeeze chute"..lol

We're ready for spring anytime. This was our road Monday BEFORE the latest snow, and after quite a bit of melting. It's back to looking like mid-winter now.

LOL

There was a Highland bull over at the Missoula state fair. We got a kick out of watching him push the panels around so he could get fresh grass. He just moved his portable coral wherever he wanted.
