Wow, nice. Hope they are dry, fluffy, and warm now! Bulls, heifers, one of each? Congratulations to you and their mother!

Both are bulls. She's a good mama, loves them both, and she'll get to keep them both for a while. But I don't think she has enough milk to raise 2.

We had 2 sets of twins this year. I left the two on the older cow. She has raised twins before, with good results. I took the stronger one off the first calf heifer and grafted it onto my Swiss cow. Her calf along with 2 others from neighbors, she's raising 4 beef calves right now.

Adorable!! Don't you just love this time of year? Out of our first 38 cows we've had 4 sets of twins. Definately a first for us. Thankfully we have 2 milk cows.

Very lucky you! I have wanted multiples in cattle my whole life; many years Have even dreamed a cow here had 5 once. I know its crazy and wishful thinking. We did have triplets once at a dairy I worked at as a kid; 3 teeny tiny jersey heifers and all survived. It was amazing!

The true blessing is that every set of twins have been so big and healthy. You'd never guess they were twins. We have never had this many, the most has been 2 sets the year before last. Both were born on Valentines day. Until then we'd probably gone 20 years and only had 2 sets in that time. It is a privilege to be able to go out and milk and feed them all .

We generally have 3 sets a year. This year we have a few more cows so could have more sets. This is a pretty good set of twins, they weighed 75 and 88 lbs. And she had them all by herself.

Those are nice calves, randiliana, and to have them by herself and both live, that's great!
