Big Man is feeling better

Me and the big man - he is back to normal, he gave a a nasty scare a week ago, he went off his hay, wasn't himself, brought him in on the cross ties for a grooming and going over, cocked his tail and passed almost pure blood...scared the living snot out of me - didn't even untie him, ran as fast as I could to the house, grabbed a bottle of the strongest anitbiotic I have on hand, shot him up with a massive does, then put him in a big stall deep with shavings, was in for five days on medicated feed. He was back on his feed by the next day, seems to feel just fine now...Big Man is feeling better - CattleBig Man is feeling better - Cattle

Have you placed a magnet into his stomach? If not, I would suggest you consider doing that.

i do not have a collar though have rigged up a rope before to have him help me pull a round bale out out of the bed of my pickup truck, if I had a collar I would probably have him pull stumps and such, he just follows where I lead him and figure anything tied to his giant body is coming along as well

how does one put a magnet in a cows stomach? it seemed to be bacterial, cleared up as soon as I put him on medicated feed and antibiotics

You shoot the magnet down their throat the same way you give a pill: with a bolusing gun.
This pic is of 2 magnets, they are very strong.
