milk bars for babies, How do they work?

Does the nipples all fasten to a central resurvour? If so, how can one regulate if one calf needs to get more or less liquid, OR liquid of a different mixture than others?

The ones I have seen, all the nipples feed from a central bucket/reservoir. Each calf gets as much as they can drink until it's gone, which happens pretty quickly. If a calf needs more or a different formula you would have to feed it separately.

Each nipple is attached to a little hose that goes into the reservoir.
You can do a certain amount of adjusting by pulling the hoses out of the milk when you
feel each calf has had its fill.
But yeah, you want to feed calves that are the same age and all equally "eager" together.
If you get a punky calf that is slow or smaller, it might not be able to compete on the calf bar.

Here's my milkbar, five nipples leading to the milk. Which ever calf sucks the fastest wins. Buy a group of calves the same age or hold back a little calf, let the others suck and then release the little calf....Topside

I have been thinking of getting a xalf bar. Are they hard to clean out and can you block off any of the sections you dont need to use. Im thinking of buying one that will feed 6 or 7 calves but i wont have that many all the time.
Thanks
Matt

Use an individual nipple bucket and spare pen if you have a special needs calf.

we use them when we have groups. Have 3 of them. Mainly use the the 10. Sure doesn't take long for 5 gallons to disappear. Well work the money. I meet one of the designers of the original Milk Bar from new zealand yrs back at the Dairy Expo.
