Wonder how old the cow is, no visible udder as I would expect on even a young heifer. I would agree, she is too thin, feet need attention. Coat is rough, not sleek, like a well fed cow shows, even in winter hair. Dairy cows are ribby even fed properly, but this cow is way too bony. Might be an older cow, can't get her bred, so being sold on. To me, she looks older, mature rather than young. Maybe they have no bull, which is why she never has been bred or had a calf.
I remember Elsie and Borden Dairy advertising when we visited Gramma in Chicago, who had a TV. Just about the prettiest cow ever. We LOVED the chocolate milk Gramma got us for a treat, Borden's of course! Mom NEVER bought dairy company milk from the store, we drank dry milk at home because it was so much cheaper to feed all us milk drinkers!! I am sure we drank at least a gallon a day, among us kids.
Still drink a lot of milk here, though it is dairy company milk now. That dry milk is pretty pricy now! I still use the dry milk for the puppies when we have them, extra calcium for strong bones.
