jersey question

Cecila is very pregnant and we dried her off a few montha ago. Well her bag was never really flat it always kinda looked like the back quarters had baseballs in them. she should be due anytime I'm guessing " the guy I got her from said the end of june or july". She's gotten really big the last few weeks and today her bag looks flatter than normal. She's my first cow so I have no experience my question is does this sound normal?

If she is really wide now and thins back down it is the calf turning which means 8 weeks left, expect calf the end of sep.

I was more interested in why her bag is just getting flat. She's been dry since may due to not having a due date.

The last 2 mo the calf is fully developed and is growing in size. And can put on up to 2 lbs a day. They will bag up( udder fill) sometimes just hours before giving birth sometimes days. When she shows signs of being restless unable to get comfortable either standing or laying down, you are getting close signs of straining or pushing don't go far. Keep an eye on her and hope she doesn't need any help. She shouldn't since she has had one before.

What do you mean by 'flat'? Like it looks emptier?
Are there any other animals around that could be nursing her?

There are no other animals with her. Her bag aways kinda looked like it had two baseballs in it. Just yesterday the back two quarters looked flatter. I only think its odd because she's been dry for so long. The front quarters have been pretty flat for quite some time the back ones never have.

Sounds like she finally absorbed all the milk that was in those back quarters.
Probably nothing to worry about.

Her bag looks fine it just got a little smaller is all. It just seemed odd is all. I'm really waiting for the day it gets a lot bigger. Thanks for your comments.
