red spot on udder

Cecila has a red spot about the size of a quarter on her bag. Should i worry? Also i was wondering about how to seperate the calf or to bottle feed it. Any thoughts. No calf yet just trying to get prepared. Thanks

Is the spot a sore, tender, hard, mushy or a rub mark? When is she due to calve? Is it possible it's mastitis brewing or an abscess in the wall of the uterus? If you can take a picture and post it. That will help a lot.
