J Lents book

Hi,

Does any one out there have Jim Lents Book "The Basis of linebreeding"

I have the first chapter about the Bible "breeding" but how does he bring a line breeding scheme out of that? I would buy the book But I have been laid off for the last 5 months, so money is too tight for that. Can anyone help me out with a bit of a summary? thanks

So no one has heard of this book or read it? Darn, I was hoping someone would have been able to shed some light on the situation.

unsure if this is correct however if it is the savings is significant
" "The Basis for Linebreeding," is considered a reference work in livestock circles. I thought this book was rare and difficult to acquire, until I learned one can acquire this book directly from the author for $35 domestic, $45 international. His address is Jim Lents, 25398 SW Coombs Road, Indiahoma, OK 73552. Shop around, get your money's worth.'

with the exception of what I posted the price was $250 plus shipping. I suggest checking the libraries.

Update
Local library is going to have the book sent from UNC to the nearby 1/2 horse town near where I live at no expense so I suggest you try the same thing at your nearby library.

I went to my local Library, but unfortunately, they can't bring the book in from the US and they are not sure that they can find it in a Canadian Library. They have been looking for a week and I haven't heard if they can find it or not. So I guess I am still waiting.

Well, the verdict is in. This book is not available in a Canadian Library, so I guess it I will have to forget about what it says. It is kind of one of those mystery bags, You want to know what is in it, but there is no possible way to look. Oh well

Agmantoo, Did the library ever get that copy of "The Basis of lineBreeding" to you?

I got back to work, was trying to get caught up on bills so I could buy the book, and fell and broke my leg!!!! another 3-4 months off! So I was wondering what you learned by reading the book???

After asking the author some questions, I bought the book. I wrote to him to clarify something and he said, " oh I wouldn't do it that way now, I have learned a lot since I bought the book." Interesting read, but really nothing new, and I would not have bought it if I had read it first.
