Questions about Dexter

We are thinking about getting into Dexter Cattle, for meat and later milk.

Can someone explain in layman's terms what PHA and Chrondro are? We heard somewhere that they are related, but I cannot seem to confirm that anywhere. Any help would be appreciated

A word of advice: Dexters are a registered breed and require some paperwork (can be done online). Try to find animals that have been properly tested and genotyped. Visit as many breeders as you can and ask questions. Don't rush! Good luck!
