Coughing bottle calf

My one and a half month old jersey heifer has been coughing during and after her bottle for about a week. I have gathered that this is normal but just now I was in the field with her and she coughed a few times out of nowhere. She is around sheep who are treated for worms when they cough like this. She is alert and bright eyed with head and ears up. I was wondering if the strain of worms the sheep get could also infect my calves? Thank you!

I would say yes but!!!! I'm not a vet. I would suggest you get a fecal sample to your vet and see if she has worms. A jersey heifer is worth the cost of a float.

Probably the nipple hole or the vent hole are to large. Too much flow will cause a calf to cough. Way to young to be fretting over worms....Topside
