A curious CL ad

http://springfield.craigslist.org/grd/3797601192.html

I guess you could make a little bit back on your deadstock.

Is this for dog feeding or something?
I am not going to call them.

More then likely they have dogs that are on a raw diet. Green tripe is very good for them.

I don't see anything strange about it. It's just someone who is a raw feeder trying to keep costs down.

I'm not sure whether "smashed" animals means overlaid piglets or road kill deer, but whatever, if I had any, I would call the person who posted the ad and sell to them. They are trying to keep costs down and I am trying to squeeze out any available penny from the production of my little farm.

(Except when I have green tripe, it gets fed to my own dogs)

I guess I just dont understand why they didn't simply SAY they are wanting dog food.
Weirdly worded ad, at the very least.

There are actually a lot of folks out there that want stuff like this for their dogs/cats. When I process chickens, I have a lady that buys all of the "guts". I bag them, she picks them up. It saves me from having to dispose or compost them.
Also, people that are learning to do taxidermy will buy small animals such as goats/lambs/etc that have died to practice their technique on.

I'm curious if they are using the young animal stomachs for rennet too?
But I have no issue with the ad. And it is more respectful to the animal itself when you use the whole thing. What does it say to just kill an animal for a small part then dispose of the rest like trash? If the animal gives its life then we should use all of it in some way, not just throw it away like it has no value.

I have no problem w/ people doing raw feeding or buying "green tripe"or "smashed"
animals. Honest, that is super common.
I question the wording of this ad and the prices they are offering.
they are not very clear on their intentions,
Perhaps they really dont care WHAT caused the death of the animals?
I could speculate myself quite a horror film scenario, personally. LOL

Not people I would invite onto my property to purchase the " dieing babies" of *my* livestock.
but then, I have no trouble w/ composting.
Bio-mass has value too.
