I use high mag cow minerals free choice in feeders around the farm, wondering if it goes bad? I normally put half a bag to the feeder and have wondered if it needs changing or just add more?

Is it sheltered from rain? Rainy weather can leach out a lot of the mineral. If it is in a covered feeder, you shouldn't need to worry about it as long as it stays dry and clean. (I'm assuming this is "loose" mineral, blocks aren't as bad if they get wet).

Thanks, They are loose minerals in a covered container, I've only been adding to it.

Also some minerals come with a coating that help them resist the rain.
