She's 5 years old and due to calve around the end of june.

Nice looking cow. Maybe she needed a milk bath for her feet?

It's time to dry her off if she is due in June, she was just letting you know. Lol.

Both feet in the bucket, she sure is talented!

You must be thinking about drying her up pretty soon to let her rest before the calf, right?

Good luck with her. She looks wonderfully gentle.

I've cut back her grain a bit and she is giving a little less each day. I got her from a small dairy that machine milked, i figured i want her used to me milking by hand before i dry her off. I will say she a patient cow.

{sorry about that. I am a newby here.} Just wanted to say that I am looking to buy my first Jersey milk cow soon, and this picture is probably one I will be able to see first hand. we wont need a huge amount of milk because it will just be my DH and me and chickens and pigs. but we do go thru a lot of dairy products.

Yes, we can tell that by the "feet in the bucket" picture. She looks really calm there.
