Maybe She is Pregnant?

I have a cow question and I hope someone can help, lol Flossie was in standing heat on Feb 7th, and so far has not come back in heat..She is in with a bull, but he is very small compared to her, lol He is also just coming up on a yr old. Oh yea, both Flossie and the little bull are full Jersey, if that matters Maybe She is Pregnant? - Cattle
This morning when we were milking we noticed a small amt (less than a tsp) of discharge on her back end, clear and thick, no blood. She is showing no signs of heat, the bull is not paying her any attention...(Sorry if too graphic)
Is early pregnancy discharge normal? Do they sometimes miss two cycles in a row, and not be pregnant?
Thanks for any help, she is our first cow to even have a chance of being pregnant, and though I am excited at the thought, I hate to get my hopes up, Maybe She is Pregnant? - Cattle

She probably is pregnant. The discharge isn't unusual. But you just need to keep watch to see if she comes back in heat. The bull would certainly show interest if/when she does.

Sometimes they will not come into heat for a cycle or two and then suddenly come back in w/out getting pregnant, but generally this only happens when there is a health issue. Though during the heat we had last summer during the drought there were several of a friend's heifers that did not come into heat at all until the weather cooled off.

Hope you have a calf here in 9 months or less!

Thanks so much for the reply! I really hope she is pregnant, but I tell you, that bull is tiny. O_o
She is usually regular with her cycles, so it is odd she missed. I do worry because it has been almost a year since she calved, and I am not sure if it is alright to wait so long to breed her back. But we have been waiting for the bull to get big enough to be useful.... I figure I will wait until after April 7th, that will have her missing 3 and then see the vet. Unless of course she wakes us up one morning bellowing her head off and being s stinker because she is in heat, lol
