My guess a standard surge bucket. If anyone needs one BTW I have 2 for sale.

This is an older DeLaval bucket lid, it has the old Sterling/DeLaval pulsator on it and the origanal claw(which I LOVE). This is the kind I use all the time, and I would recommend this milker to anyone. Only problem is they are getting harder to find parts for them, but the pulsators seem to run forever and are easy pe-zee to work on, I can do it in the dark if I have to. So does this have the bucket to go with it?? not much good without the bucket. > Marc

It is a DeLaval cow to can unit--- the lid sits on the top of a 10gallon milk can. They were used on the B grade dairys.

Could be the lid fits a milk can, I still like the units. Not sure it`s worth the price, but they might get it sold.
